Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 1: In an act of open corruption by the nexus involving Jammu and Kashmir Police Personals and the local contractors, the government school building and the road in Jammu's posh locality are being to run as parking places to collect the money from the daily visitors.
As per the details available with "Early Times', the height of nexus between police officials and contractors to earn easy money could be gauged from the fact that on the eve of New Year, devotees at Bhawe Wali Mata were forced to pay for parking their vehicles on road and building of Government School, situated on the outskirt of Jammu, merely 2 KM from J&K police headquarter showing monopoly of contractors and their touts.
The victims informed that on the first day of New Year, devotees in thousands thronged at Bawe Matta temple for seeking the blessings of godd

"While the parking space outside temple was full--- To earn easy money, the contractor in connivance with local police managed to open entry gate of the Government Higher Secondary School Bawe where the devotees were asked to park their vehicles--- the parking collecting boys soon started charging money from the devotees-that too in presence of police" alleged the devotees.
If sources are to be believed, not only the school building was misused by the parking contractor, they also charged parking fee for the vehicle sparked on the adjoining road sides.
When inquired, the sources in the police department told that the parking contractors are working in connivance with some police officers who allegedly had also increased the bounty from current Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 and thus gives free hands to the contractors to violate the norms with impunity.
