Srinagar, Jan 8: Mansoor Ahmad Shayir S/o Bashir Ahmad R/o Chowdrey Bagh Ranawari Srinagar Tuesday lodged a written complaint in ACB, alleging therein that he is proprietor of a SSI unit under the name and style of M/S Reliable Silks located at Chowdrey Bagh Rainawari. To release 30% CIS on plant and machinery under Central package, he was asked by DIC Srinagar to furnish a clearance certificate from GST ( Govt. of India), for which he had applied in the GST Department properly and completed all formalities. The concerned officer had not issued the same till date on one pretext or by other. Finally he demanded an amount of Rs. 4,000/- as bribe for issuance of clearance certificate in his favour from the Department. On this complaint case FIR No.01/2019, P/S ACB, U/S 5(2) P.C Act 2006, r/w 161 RPC P/S VOK was registered and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted which laid a successful trap and arrested Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani presently working as Multi Tasking worker in (GST) Department Srinagar and Priveen Kumar Loomba working as Superintendent in (GST) Department (Govt. of India) located at Bishamber Nagar Srinagar, while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 4,000/- from the complainant.
