Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Asserting that the politics based on deceit and falsehood has vitiated the atmosphere in Kashmir valley, besides isolating people, besides causing huge damages to overall development of the State, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President and party candidate from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency G A Mir has emphasized the people of South Kashmir to strengthen the Secular forces led by Congress Party by ballot.
Mir also said that the present elections was a direct fight between communal and secular forces, the victory of secular forces amounts to safeguarding the Art 370, Art 35A which was in great danger due to the betrayal by power-hungry PDP.
Addressing public gathering at Nussu Bedragund in Devsar Assembly segment of Kulgam District today, Mir said the politics based on deceit and falsehood was the main source behind the loses caused to life and property, besides witnessing bloodshed, besides causing huge damages to people in every respect, even the efforts were being made to abrogate Special Status granted to the state by the BJP and their so-called Bakhts, this all happened when PDP surrendered its core agenda for the sake of coming into power.
Mir also hit out at BJP Chief Amit Shah over dreaming about abrogating Art 370 if voted to power, saying that BJP Chief has gone senile while sensing the defeat of Saffron Party in the present elections, as a result, Shah was desperate enough about the poll outcome, trying hard to exploit people over Art 370. No one can abrogate Art 370 because the special status granted to J&K State under the constitution of India was permanent, Mir said. He said Congress Party respects the urges and aspirations of the people and will do everything to ensure that people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh do not feel isolated in any way, Mir said.
He told the people that the coming two phases of present elections in South Kashmir would a be litmus test for them, as that, it is the power of their vote which can keep communal forces at bay, for that matter people should vote for the Congress Party to send a strong voice to Parliament from Jammu and Kashmir to represent them genuinely, he appealed people to ensure his victory from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, as that, will be the defeat of communal, fascist forces and opportunist politics by PDP BJP and others in JK.
Addressing the gathering, senior party leader and ex-MLA Mohd Amin Bhat felt confident that people of Devsar and other areas in South Kashmir have realized as to how PDP compromised on the mandate given to it during 2014 Election. On this occasion, Mohd Anwar Bhat PDP Block Vice President joined Congress.
