Desperate Mehbooba makes erroneous statements, exposes her own party
Is PDP clouded over by anxiety at last ?

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 27: Besides being curt and speaking intemperate words, what PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti is saying these days is erroneous as well.
In South Kashmir's Devsar while speaking to media, Mehbooba exposed none but her own party and also indirectly held her own father responsible for eroding Article 370 when he was the Congress Chief in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ironically, Mehooba accused her party's former ally Ghulam Nabi Azad of eroding Article 370 when he was the chief minister by transferring thousands of Kannals of land to shine board. She perhaps forgot the fact that her party patron Muzaffar Hussain Beigh was the Deputy Chief Minister in Azad's government and late Qazi Afzal- senior PDP leader- was a forest minister when land to shrine board was transferred.
Also in her statement, Mehbooba accused NC Founder Sheikh Abdullah of accepting the post of Chief Minister in 1975 during Indira Abdullah accord. What she forgot is the fact that when the accord was signed, her father and PDP founder Mufti Mohd Sayeed was holding a key position in Congress then.
Also the post of the Prime Minister was converted into that of the Chief Minister during the regime of G.M Sadiq and her father was a cabinet minister in that government. Mufti in 1972, became a Cabinet Minster and also Congress party's leader in the Legislative Council. He was made the state Congress president a couple of years later. In 1986, he was appointed as the Union Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Now what this time Mehboba Mufti is speaking is erroneous and incorrect, making one wonder whether the PDP President has lost her equanimity by the phase phase of polls in which the PDP performed below the average reportedly.
Soon after the government fell on June 19, last year, PDP is often being accused of making uncalled for jibes and appeasing separatists.
It was interestingly on October 30 when Jammu and Kashmir Governor stated that he admits the fact that when Mehbooba Mufti was the chief minister of the state, the recruitment of militants witnessed a spike and also those pelting stones too found it easier to attack the security forces.
"I have not gone to Jammu and Kashmir with the BJP's band wagon. I will work as per the constitution and as far as the previous government in the state is concerned, there must be some reason that the support from the PDP was withdrawn. And I admit the fact that while Mehbooba Mufti was the chief minister of the state, the militant recruitment got increased and stone pelters too got away easily while pelting the stones.
And what we are reaping at present is what the coalition did in the state but at that time those who were in alliance partners in the government should have reacted to the mistakes being done. Today, I am not answerable to their wrongs," Governor Malik had said in an interview then.
