Kishtwar administration to set up 3 additional quarantine centres

KISHTWAR, Apr 14: With the aim to become fully equipped and prepared to tackle any emergency that may arise due to prevailing threat of spreading corona virus and as a precautionary measure district administration will set up 3 additional quarantine centres in the district.
District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today visited NHPC colony Shalimar, campus of Jammu University and partially completed indoor stadium and took firsthand account of specifications and other feasibilities for establishing additional quarantine centres there.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, General Manager NHPC, Y N Kotha and other officers.
He directed the concerned authorities to expeditiously complete the necessary remaining works besides indentify the rooms and mobilize necessary logistics to establish quarantine centres.
Pertinent to mention that the quarantine centres have been established at 29 locations with 1174 quarantine capacity and establishing additional quarantine centres will augment the quarantine capacity in the district.
During the visit DDC also asked the security officials deputed at entrance gates at these places to strictly implement the screening protocols during screening of every person entering the colony and campus. He further asked them to report to administration about the persons with foreign or out of UT history.
