AD FCS&CAD Doda suspended dealer for failing to distribute ration 4/14/2020 10:06:12 PM ASIF IQBAL NAIK EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 14: Taking strong action for failing to distribute the ration among the poor ration card holders, Assistant Director (AD) Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (FCS&CAD) Doda today suspended FPS dealer Manzoor Ahmed with immediate effect. As per the details available with Early Times, AD FCS&CAD, Doda, Ghulam Rasool Lone vide order No. 47-53/FCS&CA/D/2020-21, dated 14-4-2020 placed the dealer under suspension. As per the order, TSO Marmat brought the matter into the notice of senior officials that FPS dealer Manzoor Ahmed is not performing his duties properly and PDS ration meant for distribution among ration card holders of village Rote-B has not been issued/distributed among the beneficiaries. A lot of complaints were also being received regarding non-distribution of ration and self-styled practice of working adopted by the said FPS dealer. The local Sarpanch also complained about non-distribution of the ration by the said FPS dealer. “In the above backdrop, as a part of negligence of essential services and Disaster Management Act, FPS dealer Manzoor Ahmed (Centre Rote-B) is hereby placed under immediate suspension and the rationees of FPS dealer shall be attached with adjoining FPS dealer namely Mubasher Hussain (Centre Rote-A),” read the order. Speaking to Early Times, AD FCS&CAD, Doda, Lone while confirming the suspension of dealer said that non-distribution of ration under prevailing circumstances is criminal offence and gross negligence. He said that when whole department is busy in mitigating the problems and suffering of the people during the ongoing lockdown due to COVID 19 pandemic— which is now been extended till May 3, the government has issued clear cut directions to distribute the ration among all the ration card holders so that they could not suffer on account of non-availability of ration.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
