Samba admin enforces complete clampdown in village Chajjawal

SAMBA, Apr 14: Following the declaration of Supwal area as Hot Spot after a case was found Covid-19 positive, District administration Samba has enforced complete clampdown and restricted movement of men, material and means both inward and outward of the area for general public besides has setup multiple control rooms for assistance of the local habitants.
In wake of covid-19 pandemic the first positive case of district samba was reported who had a travel history and all the other contacts of the patient have been reported as negative for covid-19. Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, informed that complete clampdown has been enforced in the Supwal area for containment of the covid-19 spread. He said that the complete area is sanitized with disinfectants besides restrictions have also been imposed upon locals from coming out of their houses. He also informed that multiple control rooms have been setup in the area and are under his direct supervision.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman, (94192-88630) has been designated as Nodal officer, who has stationed his office in the area. Teams of medical officers, members of panchayat institutions, police personals have been deputed in the area. “Medical teams have been deputed in the area for door to door survey and directions have been issued to concerned officers for providing necessary essential items to the locals at their door step” the DC said.
The DC has appealed to public of samba to follow the directions of government of India as the lockdown has been extended upto May 3. He has assured that there shall be no shortage of essential items in the district besides administration shall take appropriate steps in containing the Covid-19 spread.
