4/14/2020 10:05:49 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 14 The lockdown in view of rising threats of COVID-19 undoubtedly have brought the normal life to a standstill across the globe and same is the situation in fully bloomed Tulip Garden at Sanasar and Flower Garden at Jammu as they see no visitors these days.
The Tulip garden in Sanasar belt of Udhampur is one of the most scenic locations and prominent tourist destinations but due to lockdown, this year’s blooming tulips will be seeing no visitors and the beautiful flowers will remain unnoticed.
“Likewise every year also, we have beautiful high breed Tulip flowers in full bloom at Sanasar but unfortunately, due to lockdown we will not be receiving number of visitors at the location,” an employee of Department of Floriculture said.
He said that Sanasar is a beautiful location and Tulip garden was established after Kashmir’s Tulip garden, adding, “every year we used to receive many visitors at this place and in the past few years especially after Tulip garden came to existence, tourist footfall was increased manifold,” he added and wished that the world soon comes out of the Covid-19 crisis and next year again tourists start visiting to Sanasar.
He also said that high breed Tulip flowers like Nigerita (Purple), Red impression (Red), Purissima (White), String Gold (Yellow) are fully bloomed and being cared by the staff and expert gardeners. Meanwhile similar is the situation at Bhour Camp Flower Garden at Jammu, just five kilometres from city.
In view of climatic conditions at Jammu, high breed marigold, petunia, Germania, Dalia are blooming but have no visitors to praise the beauty of nature and appreciate the hardwork of the helpers engaged.
“The garden is ready but due to lockdown, nobody is visiting to the place and the staff is taking care of the flora,” said an official.
“The government may take notice of this and if possible, compensate them for the losses they suffered,” he added.
