Jammu, April 14: All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha paid rich tribute to the father of the Indian Constitution Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 129th birth anniversary today at Kabir Bhawan, Chak avtara Bishnah.
The President of the Sabha F.C Bhagat, described Dr. Ambedkar as symbol of knowledge who dedicated his life in working for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. Bhagat said that Dr. B.R Ambedkar also popularly known as Baba Sahib was an Indian Jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement, supported the rights of the women andlabor class and also campaigned against the social discrimination against untouchables/Dalits.
Bhagat further reiterated that on this day we should vouch for indulging of self introspection as a nation to ascertain where India stands on the ladder of prosperity and development as envisioned by Ambedkar. He has given his life for uplifting the deprived section of the society and spent his whole life fighting against the system of untouchability and the caste system. Bhagat also said that as far as the unity, prosperity and fraternity of the country is concerned, this day teaches a lesson to the countrymen to understand the struggle of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and his contribution to build a great nation where every citizen feel proud that his rights and dignified life is protected.
