Strong safety net need of hour to contain Covid-19: Mayor

Jammu, Apr 14: In order to intensify the sanitation drives and to avoid spreading of Coronavirus, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has put more machinery motorized portable sprayer along with 500 liters tank with chemical solutions and battery , autos , fogging machines , new spray pumps , vehicle of fire brigades department etc on routine basis in all the wards of the city as well as in the isolation / covid centers and red/ contaminated zones.
Moreover, mayor informed that JMC has successfully installed 12 decontamination and sanitizing tunnels at various locations and Govt. hospitals across the Jammu city.
While continuing the fumigation and sanitizing in Sanik Colony area of ward no. 69 along with Madam Gurmeet Kour Randhawa Councilor and the field staff. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor told that JMC has already undertaken sanitation drives., fumigation and spraying on war footing basis with active working of all Councilors, Commisioner JMC , Sanitation staff and all safaikaramchari to avoid spreading of Covid 19.
Also to support the fight against the deadly virus, councilor of Sainik Colony Madam Gurmeet kour Randhawa also donated Rs 11,000. Surinder Sharma councilor of ward no. 38 Janipur also donated Rs 11,000, Sanatan Dharam Sabha Jammu donated Rs 1,01,101(one lakh one thousand and one hundred one only), M/S Sanitation Club Subash Nagar Jammu donated Rs 1,00,000 (One Lakh only) to PMCARES Fund and the cheques for the same amount were handed over to Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC who further appeals to genral public to come forward and donate more and more as per their capacity in PMCARES Fund in this crucial juncture.
