Bijay Charak Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 18: The School Education department has been found shielding influential teaching staff that prefers clerical works in its offices instead of teaching in government schools. On July 2, the government had directed all Administrative Secretaries to cancel the attachment of officers/officials. According to this order, all Secretaries were also directed to furnish a status report on the above issue to the General Administration Department. But except the School Education department, all the other departments implemented the government directions and cancelled attachments and the attached officials were sent to their original posting. The Administrative Secretary of School Education also issued order of de-attachment of all the teaching staff (Lecturers/Masters/ Teachers) working in the Directorate, Chief Education and Zone Education Offices in different capacities. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Since the enactment of Pre Conception and Prenatal Diagnostic Technique, Prohibition of Sex (PC&PNDT) Act in 2002, few complaints have been filed against diagnostic centres conducting tests for determining sex in the last 16 years. The complaints were pertaining to disclosure of sex of the foetus, unregistered diagnostic labs and use of unregistered ultrasonography machines.
