No snub this time, Modi praises Mehbooba
BJP learns from past mistakes!
4/20/2016 12:51:14 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 19: The Modi government has apparently decided to not "repeat mistakes" made when late Mufti Sayeed was the chief minister. The BJP has not only decided to give full support to the CM Mehbooba Mufti but also wants to be seen as partner in addressing the problems in the Kashmir. PM Narendra Modi in full public view praised Mehbooba Mufti saying she is not only energetic but even at the dais she is talking to me about the development projects. The PM Modi also said Centre would give full support to the State. It was a marked departure from his last year's rally at Srinagar which didn't turn out to be as was expected. The PM then had openly said that he does...

Sajjad Lone skips 'Bada Bhai' Modi's Katra rally
4/20/2016 12:50:57 AM
Hyder Ali Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 19: Unsatisfied with the ministry granted to him, separatist-turned-mainstream leader Sajjad Gani Lone, on Tuesday skipped Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Katra in Jammu province. Lone, who two years ago discovered a "BadaBhai" in Modi, was this time conspicuous for his absence in the Trikuta hills when Modi inaugurated a super-specialized hospital there. Otherwise, during Modi's previous visits to the state, Lone would prominently share dais with him. But this time, presumably unsatisfied with the Social Welfare ministry granted to him, MLA Handwara seems to be "heartbroken". Call it planning or coincidence, by the time Modi was addr...

4/20/2016 12:50:36 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 19: A senior BJP leader appeared right when he described violence in Handwara and Kupwara and other places in Kashmir, including parts of Srinagar district as the fall-out of a conspiracy hatched. "There was a conspiracy behind the recent spurt of violence in the Kashmir Valley. Definitely there is a conspiracy to disturb peace in areas like Kupwara and Handwara. These areas remained peaceful when there was turmoil in other parts (of the Valley)," he said on Monday. The question to be asked is: Who hatched conspiracy to provoke violence in Kashmir? Certainly not the poor school-going girl. Handwara girl, whose mother had alleged that army personnel molested ...

4/20/2016 12:25:17 AM
Peerzada Ummer ET Report srinagar, Apr 19: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's ability of controlling the situation took people back to the summer unrest of 2010 when situation could have been controlled in a similar way but Omar Abdullah, then Chief Minister, preferred outing in Gulmarg instead of leading from the front. The sporadic clashes that erupted in most parts of Kashmir valley after the killing of five people last week could have resulted in another 2010 like summer agitation, had Mehbooba not taken full control of the ground situation and making every bit to pacify peoples' anger. In the year 2010, a similar situation was confronted by the State but went out of the control of the...

Army & AFSPA
4/20/2016 12:24:53 AM
ET Report Jammu, Apr 19: The offensive JKPCC today tore into the defensive, clueless and confused BJP.
