Srinagar remains calm, foils plans of separatists

Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 16: Srinagar city remaining calm amidst back to back shutdown calls given by the separatists has foiled the plans of the anti-national elements to trigger unrest in the summer capital. Sources told Early Times that separatists are making desperate attempts to activate their henchmen to trigger unrest in the city. "Authorities imposing restrictions in the old city have made things difficult for the separatists. On Saturday miscreants appeared at a few places in civil lines areas and resorted to stone pelting and attacked the private vehicles which were plying on the roads," sources added. Police sources said, "Separatists are making desperate attempts to activate their men and machinery as they are under pressure from their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) and in Pakistan to ensure that normalcy is not restored and life remains paralyzed."
