Differences surface in JRL over Geelani's recent stand | | |

srinagar, May 29: Differences have surfaced in the so called Joint Resistance Leadership after senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani chose to hold a different stand including his giving a call for the shutdown on the killing of militant commander Zakir Musa.
It is pertinent to mention that Geelani who also heads the Hurriyat G was the only leader from among the separatists who gave a call for shutdown and paid tributes to the slain commander after his killing in Tral.
It was for the first time in the recent past that Geelani whose Hurriyat G is a constituent of JRL chose to give a call for the shutdown individually and not in consultation with the JRL.

Srinagar, May 29: A civilian was killed after security forces opened fire on a group of people who were protesting near an encounter site at Pinjura in South Kashmir's Shopian district today. Around three dozen persons sustained injuries in the action of the security forces.
