Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: Giving a warning to Pakistan for fomenting trouble in Jammu and Kashmir, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday asserted that India will give a befitting reply to anyone who tries to disturb the peace in the country. He cautioned the people against the evil designs of anti-national forces. Addressing a gathering of the personnel of the Armed Forces, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and J&K Police at north Kashmir’s Baramulla area, Singh said lauded them for shouldering their responsibilities with dedication and zeal. The Defence Minister said, “our neighbour has always resorted to anti-India activities. Jammu and Kashmir also witnessed terror activities in the past. Due to the relentless efforts of the forces, there has been a significant decline in the number of terror activities recently”, he said. Early Times Report Srinagar, June 16: Three unidentified terrorists were on Thursday killed in two gunbattles with security forces in Kulgam and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. Giving details, a police spokesman said security forces launched an anti-militancy operation on Tuesday in the Mishipora area of Kulgam, following information of ultras there. After initial exchange of firing with security forces, terrorists managed to move location within the general area of Mishipora, he said. Early Times Report Srinagar, June 16: Security forces on Thursday averted a major tragedy with timely detection of an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. Two associates of terrorists have been arrested in connection with the recovery of the IED, a senior police official said.
