TOP STORY OF THE DAY
2 tube wells drilled in 4 yrs at AIIMS site in Jammu!
7/12/2019 12:26:39 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, July 11: Much awaited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu continues to remain in limbo, with latest reports suggesting that the work is going on at a snail's pace. As per the official documents, land measuring 1954 kanals and 06 marlas was identified in Jammu's Vijaypur area. The documents reveal that fencing in the north portion has been completed and in the south portion, 50 percent of the fencing has been done. Further, interestingly, out of the 06 tube wells, two have been drilled by the department. There is no news when shall the remaining ones be drilled. An official privy to this development told Early Times that completion of AIIMS seems a distant dream as the work on its construction is not going on the way it should. In 2015, soon after stitching the common ground for alliance, the BJP and PDP formed the coalition government in March that year. After the government formation, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised the establishment of two AIIMS-like institutions for healthcare in the capital cities of the state. The...
