Rajouri, Sept 12: The dismal functioning of the Health Department Rajouri has left the residents of Kellar Chatriyar in block Manjakote in lurch. Despite Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the block being designated as 24x7 facility, staff members remain absent during night and leave the people to fend for themselves.

These facts came to fore after locals approached Early Times reporter and informed him that although the PHC has been designated as 24X7 but during night hours, the staff remains absent most of the time.
After listening to the woes of locals the ET reporter reached the PHC Kellar Chatriyar at 9:30 pm on September 10, and found no staff member in the health centre.
He waited till 10:30 pm for someone to come but no one turned up.
After waiting for hours, the ET reporter made a call to the Block Medical Office (BMO) Manjakote and informed him about the situation but instead of taking immediate action the BMO started giving excuses that the staff might be busy in COVID care.

Srinagar, Sept 12: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has sought details of the recruitment process adopted by the various corporations.
The ACB is conducting a probe into the alleged gross violation of appointments in the various government owned corporations.
Official sources revealed that there are allegations that in the past numerous violations were made in appointments, engagements in the state owned corporations. “After receiving several complaints the government had directed the ACB to look into the matter,” a senior official said.
