Early Times Report

Jammu, June 16: The height of indecency in education department in Rajouri now has become an open secret among all in the district as a recent brawl that erupted between ZEOs and CEO rajouri over the transfer has left an indelible question mark over the department's credibility.
The ugly incident occurred on June 13 when the DC Rajouri was scheduled to take the review meeting of the education department that ZEOs and CEO Rajouri present in the meeting before DC's arrival entered into a verbal dual over the transfers of the ZEOs that left the CEO embarrassed. "Before DC Rajouri Dipti Upal reached the venue, ZEOs and CEO Rajori A H Fani had taken their seat in the office waiting for her. Over a small trifle, some ZEOs reportedly entered into exchange of hot words with CEO as the latter had requested the ZEOs to join their new place of posting citing reason that the teachers and students are suffering due to their non presence on the respective places," said a source privy to the meet.
Hearing this , some of the ZEO turning fumingly towards CEO warned him not to mingle in their business saying that the local BJP MLA and the commissioner secretary are their close aides and can turn tables against him where he can be dismissed from his ob. "CEO A H Fani who presented composure in the meet tried to convince the ZEOs that it is against the norms to stay back after their transfers affected for new postings, but to no avail. He was even threatened to be removed from his position by the ZEOs saying that administrative control over the issue lies in their hands and he is a mere puppet to the system," added sources. Though CEO did not reacted to the query as to some indecent demeanor shown by his ZEOs regarding the transfers, yet his body language was quite apparent that he had suffered humiliation at the hands of his juniors. The DC Rajouri Dipti Uppal too was not sounded about this ugly indecent as it is understood that the 'goon' ZEOs in the Rajouri enjoy a strong clout of the administrative shelter which is patronized by the local MLA Rajouri and the commissioner secretary education. " If such goondaraaj of ZEOs is the order of the day in Rajouri, one can easily understand about the degraded standards of the education in the district which has not shown good academic results over the past some years due to this mismanagement," said a local teacher of district Rajouri of a government school.
