`JK BJP a rudderless ship'
7/25/2015 12:29:42 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 24; Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a rudderless ship in the State of J&k with no one in the Party taking responsibility of its omissions and commissions.
Since the party came to power in the State over three months ago it has failed to maintain a liaison with masses who helped it get 25 seats.
The BJP leadership is flying in air without looking towards the ground and the people who brought it power for the first time in the State.
According to sources the changing style of functioning of BJP leadership in the State has been a cause of concern for the people who voted enemas for the Party in both Lok Sabha and Assemly elections last year. The people are fed up as they feel cheated from the Party leadership which has completely failed to live up to their expectations.
While the ministers of the party are not looking towards the ground and are under the impression that people have no option except to vote for them, the Party president has failed to maintain the contact with the masses. Leaving aside to taking party's policies and programmes to the length and breadth of the State he is busy in enjoying the nation wide tour as MP and rehabilitation of his kins.
This state of affairs with the Party has annoyed the people and they feel totally cheated from a Party which they trusted most, sources said, adding people have now realised that there was no difference between BJP and other parties and the claims of its leadership that BJP is a party with difference are the talks of the past.
Sources said the people feel cheated from BJP as its leaders especially ministers have failed to fulfil the promises and settle the problems of the people.
There is no improvement in power scenario especially in Jammu region with people continuously facing the power crisis. There is hardly any day left when the people don't come to streets protesting against the power and water scarcity.
Moreover various areas especially in Kandi belt of Jammu people continue to face water scarcity which is again a grave problem. The flood hit farmers claims whose crops have been damaged were not entertained by the Government and no relief was provided to them. Besides the condition of roads all over Jammu region is worst with the ministers sleeping over these issues.
The people do not know whom to contact and express their feelings as there are no takers in the Party to listen their woes, sources said, adding if such attitude prevails it will spell a doom for party.
