Inspectors of 2 departments get different salaries 12/18/2015 11:34:29 PM G S Asgotra Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18: One hand Union government had provided 'One Rank One Pension' pay scale to all retired armed forced employees, and on other hand BJP-PDP led coalition government in state of Jammu and Kashmir has seem committed to make a gap between in two same posts. Source informed Early Times that however, the post of Sub-Inspector in Excise and Commercial Taxes (E&CT) department and inspector in Police department both have at same post but unfortunately the Sub Inspector in E&CT department has been getting pay scale as equal to constable of the Police department. Source further said that the pay scale of Inspector, Sub inspector, Head guard/ Armed, and Guard in same department were Rs 9000-34500-4200 (Basic, Pay and Pay grade scale), 5200-20200-2400, 5200-20200-1800 and Guard is getting pay of Rs 4440-7440-1400. "While the constable of Police department now getting payment Rs 5200-20200-2400 (Basic, Pay and Pay grade scale) and addition with various other announces like special announce and uniform", he said. "It is very unfortunately for us that a police constable have received more pay from the Inspectors who has been working with the department for last 26 years", said a Sub Inspector wishing anonymity and now posted at Railway station Jammu. Nazir Ahmed Bhat, President of the Union said that since last 26 the employee of the department concerned have fighting against the pay anomalies and also made various representation to higher authority, Minister concerned but all of them not redress their genuine issues. He further said that before 1982 a commercial tax guard had received more salary from a police constable but unfortunately with passing of years guard have been made laggard while the constable of police have reached equal to Inspector. "Our administrative department (finance department) as have made arrangement to reduce pay anomalies of other departments' employees but its own employees even its ministerial staff also still facing huge pay anomalies as compare to other department", he said.
