Congress’ communal card under Secular Burqa is old strategy
HARI OM4/8/2014 10:59:05 PM

On April 6, AICC spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi dismissed the BJP as the oldest communal party of India and accused it of swallowing up what he called the idea of India. He neither referred to the Muslim League nor did he refer to the Aligarh Movement of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan
and similar other pro-British and anti-majority outfits and formations. His targets were only the RSS, MS Golwalker, KB Hedgewar, LK Advani, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah which was not unexpected. After all, he professes and preaches that Congress's ideology doesn't consider India a nation; the Congress considers India a congregation of disparate nations and nationalities.
Singhvi's provocative statement came a day after mainstream media reported that BJP national general secretary and in-charge of UP Amit Shah had allegedly described the 2014 general election as an opportunity to avenge the insult meted to the people of Muzaffarnagar by a handful of those who enjoy the support of the Government in UP. Not just Singhvi, AICC president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi unleashed all of her rabidly anti-majority spokespersons, including Rashid Alvi, Abdul Rasool Khan, Shakeel Ahmad, Hilal Ahmed, Tehseen Poonawalla, Shahzad Poonawalla, Meem Afzal, Nadeem Javed, Digvijay Singh, Sanjay Jha, Priyanka Chaturvedi and so on, to attack the BJP and its PM nominee Narendra Modi and Amit Shah so that her party could
woo the Muslim voters. The Muslim voters constitute less than 18 per cent of the country's electorate, but she took the majority community for a ride like all other fake secular outfits do to consolidate Muslim vote-bank. Sonia Gandhi unleashed a no-holds-barred hate-campaign against the BJP conveniently forgetting what she had done on April 1 to polarise the nation in her desperate bid to garner the Muslim votes. That day, she had met a Muslim delegation led by Jama Masjid Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari
and appealed to the Muslim community across the country not to split the 'secular vote' and vote for her party en-block. In other words, she shamelessly taunted, abused and insulted the majority community, which constitutes over 84 per cent of the country's total population, by telling it that the Muslims and Christians are the only secular communities and the majority community is a conglomeration of rank communalists and is a purchasable commodity. Much has been written and said about what Sonia Gandhi did and said on April 1 and it is hardly imperative to point out the nature of damage she has done to the India for political benefits. Suffice to say that she proved by her words and deeds that she vouches for a highly dangerous and regressive ideology that culminated in the communal partition of India in August 1947 and displacement of humanity on an unprecedented scale and that she outraged the nationalist sensitivities of the majority community across the nation. There is no doubt whatsoever that the brazen manner in which she played the communal card on the eve of the very crucial and epoch-making general election would:
(1) Ensure the decimation of the Congress party, which was founded by the canny Britons in 1885 to further consolidate the British rule in India so that they could exploit, loot and plunder its natural resources to enrich the British economy and that's why, cannot be considered a party of all Indians by any yardstick. (2) Result in a spectacular victory of the BJP and the NDA. Singhvi, who is known more for what he did in his office-chamber within the premises of a court some time back, sycophancy, arrogance, obstinacy and intense hatred for the majority community, than anything else, says that the BJP is the oldest communal party in India and it must be defeated. Again, it is not necessary to reflect on the BJP leadership and its ideology and their appeal. Suffice it to say that the BJP-led NDA is the only genuine political formation that is committed to the country and the nation and Narendra Modi the one leader in the country who alone has the ability and the necessary will to end the Congress's misrule and hand down to the suffering nation a Government that delivers, mitigates the hardships of the people and achieves for India a status in the comity of self-respecting sovereign nations. The fact of the matter is that the Congress is the oldest communal party in India.
As said, it was in December 1885 that the so-called Indian National Congress was founded in Bombay. Just three years after its formation, the Congress under its president George Yule, a Briton, adopted a resolution at its Allahabad session, held in December 1888 that endorsed Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's pernicious two-nation doctrine and created a high wall between the two communities - Hindus and Muslims. In fact, the Congress adopted a resolution that prohibited the
discussion in the Congress of any subject to which the Muslim delegates as a body object, unanimously or nearly unanimously. The fourth Congress was attended by 1248 delegates out of which around 200 were Muslim delegates. Ever since then, the Congress has been playing communal politics and using to the hilt the British policy of divide and rule to hamper the process of nation-building and misrule and destroy the country. One can catalogue here umpteen instances to prove communal character of the Congress, but a reference with these five examples would be enough to put things in perspective. One, in December 1906 at Calcutta, the month in which the Muslim League was founded at Dacca, the Congress under the president of Dadabhai Naoroji, a London-based Indian born Parsi, moved a resolution on Swaraj or self-Government that provided reservation for the 'backwardly educated' Muslims and
similar other groups, but it could not be passed because of the opposition from Mohammad Ali Jinnah, a Congressman at that time. Two, in 1916 at Lucknow, the Congress and the Muslim League held a joint session and the result was the Lucknow Pact. The Pact endorsed the Muslim League's divisive demand for separate electorates/separate registers, thus paving way for the communal partition of India. The Congress recognised the Muslim community as a separate nation.
Three, in May 1927, the AICC accepted Jinnah's four highly communal and divisive demands:
Reserved seats for minorities, one-third representation in the Central Assembly, representation in proportion to population in the Muslim-majority provinces of Punjab and Bengal and three new Muslim-majority provinces -- Sind, Baluchistan and North West Frontier Province. The December 1927 Madras Congress session under the president-ship of Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari endorsed the AICC's stand on the Jinnah's pernicious demands. However, the Congress under what 'secular' historians call 'communalist pressure' from Punjab and Maharashtra and the Hindu Mahasabha leaders like NC Kelkar and MR Jayakar went back on its promises.
Four, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh dismissed as the majority community as a second grade mass of people and declared in unequivocal terms that the 'minorities have the first right' over everything. Five, the manner in which the Congress has been allowing the Bangladeshis to change the county's demographic profile, pandering to Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists, handling Jammu & Kashmir and crushing the minorities there and sharing power and flirting with the pro-semi-independence National Conference and Indian Union Muslim League should leave none in any doubt that this so-called grand old party of India is nothing else but a replica of the Muslim League. It is shameful that the Congress leadership calls itself secular and dubs the RSS, the BJP and Narendra Modi as communal and divisive.
The nation has seen through its nefarious game-plan and this writer has no doubt that the 2014 general election would decimate the Congress party and that it would become a story of the past after May 16. There is a view that Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra would flee from India after the election results are out and the Congress would disintegrate after their exodus.
