CCI office bearers oppose YV Sharma's poll diktat 4/8/2014 10:27:49 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 8: Taking strong exception of recent statement of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) President YV Sharma supporting a particular political party in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, CCI office bearers today completely dissociated themselves from the remarks of the CCI Chief and appealed the people to cast their valuable vote as per their own wish. Addressing a hurriedly called press conference at Chamber house here today, Senior Vice President CCI Sham Lal Langer and Secretary General Arun Gupta today clarified that the chamber members have nothing to do with views expressed by YV Sharma in a section media on April 8th 2014. CCI is a forum of traders and have no affiliation with any political party. The Chamber members disassociate themselves from the views expressed by CCI President terming these as his personal opinion, he added. They asserted that every individual in the CCI is associated with different political parties and they have their different opinions. So, every individual have full right to express its personal views or associate himself to any political organization. The chamber on the whole is an organization working for the welfare of business community and is not directly associated with any political party. They averred that people are at liberty to cast their vote to any of the candidates of their own choice and reiterated that all political parties are equal for CCI office bearers.
