Srinagar, Apr 11: security forces have claimed to have busted a militant hideout in general forest of Sopore here today while effecting a recovery of arms and ammunition. "Acting on a tip off, army S- 27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Jammu and Kashmir police's Special Operation Group (SOG) cordoned Sangri Top of Harbang forest area in Bomai Sopore in North Kashmir, police spokesperson said. He added that during the search operation, the security forces recovered 02- AK-47 Rifles, 03- AK-47 magazines, 60- rounds of AK-ammunition, 02 -Chinese pistols, 07-rounds of pistol ammunition, 01-a Radio set, and 02- hand grenades from the target area. "A case under FIR No. 19/2014 under section 7/25 I Arms Act and further investigations have taken up," he added. |
