Bhim Singh assures revolution in education, judicial system | | | Early Times Report Basohli, Apr 11: Addressing the massive election rallies in Bani, Bhoond, Basohli, Prof.Bhim Singh, candidate from Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency regretted that the Parliament has been dominated by the money power supported by the muscle power for the past three decades. The successive governments after Indira Gandhi have given into the western culture, education system and foreign policy. He accused the UPA & NDA governments shall out the national interest and the national moral and cultural values. He felt sad that the Parliament kept watching the entire bungling in the system. It was only the Supreme Court of India which had to act as a super Parliament. Bhim Singh told the audience including students, youth, teachers and farmers that education in India has been commercialized sacrificing all the values of India's culture, civilization and history. This is a dangerous precedent that our society has been vertically divided because of the commercialization of education leaving the middle class, the poor class and a common man at the mercy of the Parliament and the legislatures. He said that the depressed class has been oppressed by the wrong policies everywhere which will result in rise of violence and anarchy. Singh said in Basohli that such a great Basohli art and culture was damned by Kashmiri ruling class. He told the people that he understood the meaning of Basohli Paintings and Arts when he visited German Museum in Hydel Berg and British Museum in London when he found that Basohli Paintings were hanging in the Museum there. He said that the Kashmiri rulers stole the Basohli Paintings after they exiled Maharaja Hari Singh in 1949. He also regretted that the Parliament in India has never cared for the identities of the Dogras, Ladakhies, Balties living in undivided J&K. Singh assured the Basohli intellectuals and artists that he shall battle for the resurrection of Dogra Art, Literature & History. He said that he shall also fight for the introduction of regional and national history in the schools and colleges throughout the country. |
