| JKDF holds Congress, BJP responsible for pathetic condition of Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: Holding Congress and BJP parties responsible for scrambling and pathetic condition of the Jammu region, JKDF state president and candidate for Doda-Udhampur parliamentary constituency, Anil Gupta said, resentment among masses have increased in Jammu region due to the capitulation of interests of Jammu by BJP and Congress for their political survival and vested self interest. These groups have acted contrary to the claims of being the advocates of Jammu cause.
Commenting upon the reports in section of media regarding the boycott call of Parliament elections by six Pachayat Halqa's of Reasi owing to pathetic conditions of basic amenities of life viz, electricity, roads, drinking water and access to educational institutions, Anil Gupta said, this report vindicates our stand that no development of the area have been made post 2004. Even the works started prior to this period were shelved by the successive Governments on political considerations.
This report speaks volumes about the cosmetic development, which the Congress Party is claiming to have made during past one decade in Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency. While interacting with the masses, Anil Gupta said, Reasi belt have been discriminated in its due share to employment opportunities and equal development. "Despite vast natural resources, State Government's incapability to utilize the same have given chance to outsiders of exploring the same for their benefits. Conversely these natural resources could have provided various employment avenues to youth of the region and raised the level of development. Referring to Salal Hydel Project, He added, Despite such a big project in Reasi, the area is hardly benefited as the major chunk of Power generated is outsourced," Describing the JKDF a rising force to counter the opportunistic political groups who have time and again exploited the people by their political gimmicks and false promises just to serve their vested interests at the cost of mass sentiments, He reiterated that JKDF is the only party which shall take up the issues of this region effectively and represent the true aspirations of people in the Parliament of country and fulfill the dream of developed and prosperous Jammu. He appealed the people to strengthen the JKDF by extending their valuable support and cooperation. |
