Abrol praises UPA's regime, seeks vote for Azad | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 11 : Senior Party leader and Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Hira Lal Abrol today said that the country has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under UPA regime in the past ten years including in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Seeking votes for former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, party candidate from Udhamur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency, Abrol said that vote for Congress will be a vote for stability, peace and prosperity of country and Jammu and Kashmir State in particular. He was addressing public meeting at Palli Morh area of district Kathua and sought votes for Congress. He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad is the son of soil who did many historic works for people of Jammu and Kashmir State. Former Minister Babu Singh, Sanjay Kohli, Hans Raj, Shiv Kumar, Lal Din, Balram Raj, Sher Ali and Raj Kumar were also present. He said that Congress Party has ensured over all development in the State and the country, whether it is power sector, education, health, rural development, road connectivity or water supply adding that on the basis of development ensured in the country, the Congress is now going to the people for seeking votes. Lauding the leadership of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Hira Lal Abrol said Azad in his tenure has brought a revolution in various sectors including health, education, farming, road connectivity, industries, and creation of new administrative units and extension of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in the State. He cautioned the people against malicious campaign launched against UPA Government and said that there was a need for strengthening parties like Congress at national level to encouraging democratic and secular forces. Appreciating Azad's contribution for sanctioning a Government Medical College in Kathua, Babu Singh appealed to the people to cast their vote in favour of Azad for overall development of the district. |
