POONCH, Apr 15: Glamorous Club today registered a five wickets win over Zaffar Club to make it to the semifinals of the ongoing Police Martyrs Memorial Twenty20 Tournament at Government Degree College ground, here.
Batting first, after winning the toss, Zaffar Club bowled out for 107 runs with Wahid (25) being top scorer. Mukhtar contributed 15-ball 20 runs. From Glamorous Club, Imran emerged as most successful bowler, who took away five wickets for 15 runs in three overs.
In reply, Glamorous Club chased the target making 108 runs for the loss of five wickets. Sunit and Mannu remained top scorers with 25 and 18 runs respectively. In today's quarterfinal, Jatinder Singh Tandon was special guest, who encouraged the teams while appreciating the organizers for the initiative.
Khanpora Club wins in Parvaiz T20

SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Khanpora Cricket Club and Sheikhpora Club won their respective matches to advance in the Martyr Parvaiz Twenty20 knockout tournament, organized by J&K Police (JKAP 11th Security Battalion) in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Department Budgam under Civic Action Programme at Armed Police Complex Stadium Humhama, here.
In the first match of the day, Khanpora Club defeated Chadoora Cricket Club by five wickets. For his all round performance of six wickets and 29 runs, Yawar was declared man of the match.
Meanwhile, in another match, Sheikhpora Cricket Club trounced District Police Budgam by six wickets. For his unbeaten innings of 56 runs, Abdul Rashid was declared man of the match. |
