`Vote for Beg, I will fulfil your demands' | CM violates MCC with impunity | | Javaid Naikoo SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has been violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) with impunity. He is assuring people fulfillment of their demands if they vote for Mehboob Beg. Evidence in possession of Early Times shows Omar promising a fair deal to the people if they voted for Beg, the coalition candidate for Anantnag Constituency. "I will fulfill your list of demands with my pen after May provided you cast your vote in favor of Mehboob Beg and National conference," Omar told the people at a rally in Ramnagri village. Chief Minister on the record at the end of his speech said "I am saying you with confidence that I am going nowhere,. I shall continue to be the Chief and will fulfil your demands by my pen." Pertinently in the beginning of public rally a local NC worker read a list of demands of the people. The demands include construction of road, Health centre, Drinking water supply for the village Ramnagri. Omar said the people for the village had made good use of their votes in previous elections. "Voting in favour of PDP means voting for BJP," he said. Besides others, the Chief Minister was accompanied by NC-Congress alliance Lok Sabha candidate from South Kashmir Mehboob Beg, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Taj Mohi-ud-Din of Congress party, Nasir Aslam Wani and Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri who on the occasion addresses people one by one and asked people to vote in favour of Mehboob Beg and largely criticized the policies of opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP). |
