Jammu, Apr 15: Bhartiya Janta Party National President Rajnath Singh today assured that BJP will come out with a National Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Policy for one time settlement of different refugees residing in Jammu and Kashmir if the party was voted to power. The BJP National President was addressing a rally in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir in favour of party candidate from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat Dr. Jitendra Singh. Addressing the rally, Singh said that J&K was integral party of India and will be integral part in future and BJP will always give priority to this northernmost state of India. Rajnath Singh, while hitting out at Congress said, "While the Chinese incursion was going on into the Indian Territory, the Congress led UPA government remained silent and later on, when pressure was build up, it signed a pact with the Government of China and asked Indian troops to pull back from their forward positions although the Chinese troops had started intruding into Daulat Beg Oldie Sector post of India".
Singh also slammed Congress over its silence on the beheading of Indian Soldiers by Pakistan Army troops who refused to return the Heads, saying, "Congress has to reply why it remained silent over the beheading of Indian soldiers".
Singh said Indian soldiers are not coward and they know how to give a befitting reply to the enemy if they are allowed to do so. "BJP believes in peaceful relations with the neighbouring countries but with that it also knows how to confront an enemy if it is deliberately trying to destabilize the peaceful atmosphere of our nation", said Singh. Singh said despite pressure from International communities, Atal ji dared to conduct Pokhran test which gave India an identity of nuclear nation.
Speaking on Article 370, Singh said BJP is not against 370 and its provision to the northernmost state but the article has hindered the process of development in the state. He said if there was no Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, there would have been no killing of Panchayat members (Sarpanches and Panches), VDC members and there would have been no hindrance in the implementation of provisions of Panchayati Raj Act. Breaking silence over continuous attack of opposition parties on the alleged involvement of Modi in 2002 Gujarat riots, Singh said, "BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is being targeted for the last 12 years by all political parties as if he (Narendra Modi) was the mastermind of the infamous Gujrat riots. I have served Uttar Pradesh as Chief Minister and I know that no Chief Minister wants any anarchy in his state and Modi is not an exception". Singh said Indian farmer is being victimized by the Congress government as he is offered lesser rates of his yield. When NDA was in government and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, I was Agricultural Minister in the government, I planned a formula to fix the rate of crop at the time of cultivation of fields and on the condition of any natural calamity like hailstorms, drought we used to offer that fixed cost to the farmer through finance companies for which the premium was paid by Central as well as state governments in the ratio of 75:25 percent. "We cannot offer jobs randomly but if NDA is voted to power, we will impart development skills in youth so that they can start their own business for which bank loan at the interest rate of 2-3% will be given to the unemployed youth" Rajnath concluded.
