Kathua, Apr 15: Shakti Punj, NGO a social organization HIranagar organized a 'Voters' Awareness' drive under SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation ) at Chhan Arorian village of Kathua district in collaboration with students of Guru Gang Dev ji College of Education. As per press statement, the programme was conducted under SVEEP ( Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation ) as directed by the District Election Officer Kathua. "An awareness rally was flagged off by the Principal of the college Prof R L Sharma, it stated. Besides students of the college, teachers also participated in this camp to aware the people by going door to door, the statement said and added, "students were carrying banner and raising slogans in favour of democracy as loktantar ko bachana hai , vote dalne jana hai" etc." General Secretary Lukhinder Singh, Vinod Sharma, Shefali Singh, Reetika Sharma, Seema Sharma, Anju Bala Pratiba Bakshi also accompanied the rally. |
