Jammu, Apr 15: The festival of harvesting, Baisakhi was celebrated by the staff and the students of Chenab College of education with great fervor and gaiety. Colourful cultural programme was organized to mark the day. The programme was anchored by Samta Nariana. A Punjabi folk dance & songs were presented by students. Some students expressed their views on Baisakhi Festival. Speaking on the occasion Kamal Deep Kour said India is a land of festivals, myths and realities. Most of the Indian festivals coincide with seasons. She explained the sanctity and spirituality of the festival. At last Narinder Kour gave vote of thanks. |
