"People of Udhampur and Reasi Districts have provided their land, money, persons for seeing the day when Udhampur-Katra rail link is Operationalised but the decision of Ministry of Railway, Govt of India to appoint even gang men and coolies from Kashmir Valley is very disturbing, said local MLA Mankotia also added that his party (JKNPP) had also sent a memorandum to the Union Minister for Railways protesting against the decision and asking him to withdraw the same.
"There is a lot of resentment brewing among the people, especially youth over the government decision of appointing people from outside Udhampur and Reasi districts, said Mankoria further warning to intensify agitation if government fails to revoke its decision.
