Samba, Aug 16: Overnight heavy rainfall has caused massive flash floods in river Basantar Samba. The area affected by the heavy flash flood are Barota Camp, Keso , Kamore, Rangore Camp, Nanga, and other areas situated at the consistency of Devak River and Basanter came into the stretch of heavy rainfall flash flood during overnight hours. Paddy and Kharif crops were damaged by flash floods. To assess the loss, Surjeet Singh Salathia (Ex minister and present MLA of vijaypur constituency) along with the Deputy Commissioner Samba, PDP leader Harmesh Singh Salathia, Rajesh Padgotra (NPP), Jagdish Verma, and other local leaders rushed to the spot. |
