13-callers rang up district administration during 'PRAYAS' | | | Kathua, Sept 10 : Callers from different part of the District interacted with Sardar Nariender Singh Bali, Assistant Deputy Development Commissioner Kathua in weekly 'PRAYAS’ an initiative of the district administration to listen the problems of the people through telephone call from their respective dwellings. 13-callers registered their grievances during the one-hour session from 10 A M to 11 AM, here at DC Office Complex in Kathua, on Wednesday. Assistant District Development Commissioner, while chairing the meeting interacts with the people hailing from Kathua town as well as remote areas like Dungada, Poonda, Dhar Duggnu, Lohai Malhar, Chann Arorian and Nagrota and registers their grievances, which were mostly relating to the civic amenities and due to latest flash floods. ADDC assures the callers of redressing their grievances within one-week time. He directed the officers to resolve the problems and issues pertaining to their respective departments and informed the status of redress with the PRAYAS cell regularly. Worthwhile to mention here that district administration of Kathua has devised a unique Grievances Registration and Redress mechanism 'PRAYAS', first of its kind in the state under which any citizen can register grievance before the administration by just one telephone call on 01922-238796 every Wednesday from 10 am to 11 am. ACR Kathua, Tehsildar and other district and sectoral officers were also present on the occasion. |
