Search operation for remaining bodies of Nowshehra tragedy launched

Rajouri, Sept 10 : Troopers of Nowshera Brigade under the command of Brig Partik Sharma today launched search operation for the remaining 25 bodies of Nowshera mishap in which about 67 baratis were swept away in the flash floods. 44 bodies were recovered by the police and security forces personnel since Sept 4 when the mishap took place out of which 4 were recovered from Khour (Akhnoor) about 70 kilometers from Nowshera. Brigade sources said that 3 search teams headed by one officer , 14 soldiers and 2 policemen have launched search operation in the morning today and all the teams have been provided sniffer dogs. Brig Pratik hoped that soon all the bodies will be recovered by the search teams. Members of the victims families and people of the area have expressed their satisfaction about the help extended by the army units to locate the dead bodies.
