JMC Commissioner takes stock of de-silting work in Peer-Kho area | | | Jammu, Sept 10: Jammu Municipal Commissioner (JMC) Kiran Wattal on Wednesday visited Peer-Kho area along with volunteers of Care Nature and Environment and Disaster Management Centre University of Jammu (NGO Organization) to assist in the de-silting work taken up by JMC. According to press release, Commissioner ordered that two water tankers should always remain available in the Peer-Kho area, so that people might not feel any shortage of drinking water. He also distributed Chlorine tablets among the volunteers of Care Nature and Environment & Disaster Management Centre University of Jammu (NGO Organization) units for further distribution to the people as and when required. He categorically directed to all the JMC staff member to use disinfectant and sprays to control any epidemic disease that may broke out in future. He appeal the people to use the service of toll free no.18001803333 to get any kind of support from the Corporation. He authorized all the staff members to take every step for the betterment of the flood affected people. Among others Health Officer, Executive Engineers, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Chief Transport Officer, Sanitation Officers and other staff from the Corporation accompanied the Commissioner during the tour. |
