| CCI demands extension of payment of Advance Tax | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 10: A delegation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu called on A K Thatai, Commissioner of Income Tax Jammu in his office chamber and presented him a memorandum requesting for the extension in the dates for payment of Advance Tax and filing of Audited Income Tax Returns.
The delegation comprising Sham Lal Langer, Sr Vice President, Gupta, Secretary General and Rahul Mahajan, Secretary Chamber and others apprised the Commissioner Income Tax about the present situation arisen due to flash floods in the state due to which the entire business activities have come to a standstill. "It is impossible for the assesses to deposit the Advance Tax as well as file the Audited Income Tax Returns in the present circumstances, the delegation apprised the IT Commissioner.
IT Commissioner after paying keen hearing assured the delegation that the issues will be taken up the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chandigarh and also hoped that Chief Commissioner will give positive response to their request for extending the dates. |
