Lal Bahadur Shastri College bids warm farewell to outgoing students 9/10/2014 11:15:23 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Sept 10: To accord warm farewell to outgoing students of Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) College of Education organized a function in the college auditorium wherein, Chairperson of College Shakti Kohli grace the occasion as chief guest. Chairperson Shakti Kohli inaugurated the function with the traditional lightening of lamp in the presence of Principal Dr K R Jha and number of students. While addressing the students, Chairperson highlighting the various achievements of the college said that the college is making marvelous achievements in the field of sports, NSS, NCC, cultural activities and seminars organized by the college during the academic session 2013-2014. "Keeping in view the education quality, college infrastructure and other facilities institute has NAAC Accredited with grade "B" in a record period of four years for which the credit goes to the students", she added. She exhorted upon students to serve the society and nation on priority basis. She articulated that 'Good Education makes Good Human being'. As per her, one must realize the purpose, role and contribution of one's life while adopting the path of values. She communicated that the teacher of today must have opportunity to be morally strong to face the challenges occurring with the changing Global economy and let the people enlighten with the torch of values. Giving reference to present situations prevailed in the state due to flash floods she said that it is national calamity and in such type of situations, we all should unite to cope with nature fury. Principal Dr K R Jha addressing the students deliberated in detail and enlightened all the students regarding ethical values and their need for a better living and above all for a better nation. He congratulated the outgoing students for a better and bright future.
