ABVP commemorates Swami Vivekananda on 'Vishav Vijay Divas'

Kathua, Sept 11: To mark the celebrations of 'Vishav Vijay Divas', Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a function here today.
On the occasion, several activists of ABVP paying tribute to Swami Vivekananda offered flower petal to the portrait of 'Swami Vivekananda' and recalled his great contribution in uplifting of the name of India as a world leader.
On the occasion, more than hundreds of ABVP activists were gathered with full of enthusiasm and mark the grand celebration.
While speaking to media, the State Vice-president of ABVP Rahul Dev Sharma, Preeti Raina and Pooja Mahajan told that today is the day on which Swami Vivekananda delivered a historical speech in international religions Convention, which held on 11 September 1893 in Chicago.
In the speech he delivered marvelously sent the message of humanity and the essence of Hindu religion through which entire world population got impressed and even become the followers of Swami Ji.
Paying tributes ABVP activists Sourav Sharma and Akshat Jaiswal said that teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda has stressed on different aspects of religion, education, character building as well as social issues pertaining to India.
Vivekananda was a Hindu monk from India who played significant role in introducing Vedanta to the Western world and also reviving and redefining certain aspect of the religion within India.
Vivekananda realized a country's future depends on its people, so he mainly stressed on man, "man-making is my mission", that is how he described his teaching.
"Vivekananda put his real ideals in few words and that was "to preach unto mankind their divinity, and how to make it manifest in every movement of life", the speakers added. In the celebration Sonalika, Vishal Pathania, Akshay Bharti, Manoj, Nidhi, Pradeep and many others were mainly present.
