Nagrota, Sept 22: Vilakshan Singh State General Secretary, Young Panthers visited flood affected areas of Nagrota Assembly Constituency, on Sunday. According to press release, he expressed shock over the losses suffered by the residents of these areas. Several persons in these areas have been rendered houseless and are without any food and shelter. State administration has not even visited the affected families as yet. Vilakshan Singh held a detailed interaction with the residents of villages Kanayala Kah Pota, Madeen Slay, Nakola and Sangar. Vilakshan Singh said that the people of the State have become the victims of the nature's fury but the plight of the residents of Villages Upper Kanyala, Lower Kanyala, Kah Pota, Sangar, Madin, Lower Nakola, Lower Slay and the adjoining areas of the Nagrota Constituency has further been aggravated by the official apathy.
He said that the incessant rains have already wreaked havoc and the above said notification is adding fuel to the fire. Administration instead of lending helping hands to victims of the Natural calamity in the above said villages, are using force to ensure that the residents of these areas do not get their houses repaired.
The people whose houses have been damaged due to incessant rains are bound to spend their nights in the open sky. Local police are harassing those who are trying to repair their houses.
