Vijaypur, Sept 22: Illegal Encroachment for residential/commercial purposes along National Highway, Link Road Ramgarh - Vijaypur are on galore while Municipal Committee Vijaypur still is in deep slumber.
The sources with in Municipal Committee, Vijaypur, said that reason behind this is best known to concerned authorities who have adopted a Nelsons' eye approach towards the illegal encroachments. Not only the land mafia but the shopkeepers of Vijaypur Market too are seen indulged in encroaching upon the road area which ultimately result the daily traffic chaos/jams in the Vijaypur Market. "The sudden traffic congestion/Jam often turns fatal to many two wheeler drivers, lamented a pedestrian preferring anonymity while pin pointing the encroachment of road.
He also said that even the police agency, traffic police have failed to take action in this regard.
The people of Ramgarh Sector who have to visit Vijaypur for shopping their day to day items usually feel that their visit to Vijaypur is time consuming only due to jams in the Vijaypur. The locals of surrounding areas of Vijaypur humming the similar tunes also lamented that they have time and again raised the matter before the concerned agencies but nothing has been done in this regard.
Similarly, the illegal construction for residential/commercial purposes is going blatantly without due of approval of site plans from the town planner/competent authority resulting into bottle necks on the national highway and the Ramgarh-Vijaypur Link road. Expressing serious concerns over the issue local leaders rising above party politics too have joined the voice of locals. Political leaders namely Babal Gupta - Vice President District Congress Committee, Jagdish Verma BSP Candidate, Rajesh Padgotra from NPP and Rocky Gupta alleged that some vested interest and influenced persons in close association with land mafia are getting open lands including ponds, shishu Samadhi etc encroached. "Neither the police agency nor revenue authorities or the Khilafwarzi Inspector have taken any action against the violators, they said satirically adding, "It seems that all the administration of Vijaypur Town Area Committee has become functionless. |
