Jammu, Oct 19: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today organized public meetings at Brij Nagar, Indira Nagar and Krishana Nagar areas of R S Pura Assembly segment.
Speaking on the public meetings, PDP general secretary, Yash Pal Sharma, MLC today asked the people to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to establish a corruption free government in Jammu and Kashmir. He reminded the people that during the last six years Omar Abdullah led National Conference-Congress government in State has brazenly dismantled system of governance as corruption and nepotism has crossed all limits. He further added that every section of the society was bearing brunt of the wrong policies of the present government but rural areas are worst victims. He said that government seems to be appeared only on papers because common masses were struggling to get even basic amenities like ration, drinking water, education and health. "Give PDP a chance to change the present inept and corrupt system", he said and exhorted the people to come forward and join PDP's movement for change in J&K.
PDP candidate for R S Pura Assembly segment, Bhushan Dogra in his address assured that people that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for the development of border areas like R S Pura. Ajit Singh, B S Leria, Sagar Gill, Chaman Lal Bhagat, Toni, Suresh Raina, Rashpal Singh, Nishu Sharma, Vinod Sharma and others spoke on the occasion. |
