| GDC Parade's Physics Deptt organizes extension lecture | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 20: Physics Department of Government Degree College (GDC) Parade today organized an extension lecture on "Qurak Gluon-Plasma (QGP), higgs particle importance and discovery" here in Jammu.
Principal of the college Dr. Hemla Agarwwal was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas P.V.K.S Baba, Prof. High Energy Physical Lab, Department of Physics and Electronic, University of Jammu was present as the resource person.
Prof. Baba commenced the programme with brief introduction of elementary particles. He stressed on the fact that the nuclear force is due to the exchange of such particles. How new particles are formed? Grand unification theory, Mass and higgs field, LEP Tunnel and Large Haddron collider in CERN laboratory were also discussed threadbare with the students.
Prof. Baba also sought queries of students and replied them aptly up to the satisfaction of the students. Prof. Hans Raj presented welcome address and vote of thanks was provided by Prof. Vandhana Gupta. |
