Five gamblers held with Rs 3420

Jammu, Oct 20: Keeping in view the activities of anti social elements during the festivity of Deepawali who are indulged in gambling, the Bagh-e-Bahu police today arrested five gamblers and recovered Rs 3420 as stake money from their possession. "On specific information developed by SHO Bagh-E-Bahu Police Station, Inspector Sunil Sharma conducted a raid at back side of Bagh-E-Bahu market and arrested five gamblers," Police spokesman said here today. He said accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Sunny, Ankush Khajuria and Madan Mohan all residents of Bahu Fort Jammu. Spokesman also said that police also recovered a cash Rs. 3420 as stake money and playing cards from the gambling spot while all the accused have been booked under Public Gambling Act. Thereafter Police also have produced them in the court of law for further legal action.
