Kishtwar, Oct 20: In wake of upcoming festival of Diwali, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohamnad Javed Khan, a special team headed by Tehsildar Kishtwar Phulail Singh and comprising of Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kuldeep Rathore, SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani, Food Safety Officer Rajni Bhagat and Designated Food Officer Shabir Ahmed conducted the checking of main market in Kishtwar today. During the checking, the team noticed violations like non display of rate lists, over charging, and un-hygienic food items in some shops. A fine of Rs. 4000/- has been realised from the defaulters on the spot besides the team also destroyed rotten vegetables, fruits and other eatables in the market.
Strict instructions have been given to the defaulters to maintain standard hygiene in their shops and also asked them to sell fresh and quality vegetable in the market on reasonable rates.
It was strictly conveyed them that the team will conduct such checkings in market in the future also. |
