Kishtwar CEO orders detachment of teachers
Over 100 teachers attached with various offices, Kishtwar DC sends another list of attached teachers to CEO

KISHTWAR, Oct 21: Acting on the written directions issued by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan in which he has taken a tough stand against attachments in Education Department here and threatened a disciplinary action against Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kishtwar, the latter has issued detachment orders of eight teachers working in various offices of the district against clerical posts, thus affecting the normal teaching in rural areas of the district.
As per the details available with Early Times, CEO Kishtwar vide his letter No CEO/K/2014/13598-614 ordered detachment of eight teachers, including five master grade holders. They included Master Shahnawaz Hussain attached in CEO office Kishtwar, Master Shabir Hussain attached in ZEO Office Inderwal, Tariq Parvaiz attached in ZEO Office Drabshala, Master Abdul Latief Butt attached in ZEO Office Kishtwar, Master Khurshid Ahmed attached in ZEO Office Nagsini, Khurshid Ahmed attached in ZEO Office Marwah, Ashwani Kumar attached in ZEO Office Padder and Master Ghulam Mohammad Khandey attached in ZEO Office Warwan. They were detached with immediate effect and directed report at their original places of posting for further duties.
Meanwhile, Kishtwar DC has sent another list of 23 Masters/Teachers/ReTs working in different education zone offices of Kishtwar district to CEO Kishtwar and directed him to detach them with immediate effect. "In continuation to the directions given to you vide endorsement No DCK/2014/Estt/3879-92 dated 14-10-2014, you are further directed to relieve the following Masters, Teachers who have been working in various Zone Education Offices for the years together against clerical posts," says the DC's letter.
The DC has directed CEO Kishtwar to detach following employees of Education department working against clerical posts: Rakesh Kumar, Zahid Hussain, Mohammad Yousaf all teachers attach in ZEO office Drabshala, Abdul Latief (Master), Sanjeet Kumar (ReT) in ZEO office Kishtwar, Ravinder Kumar (Master), Sajjad Hussain (Master), Khaliq Hussain (Teacher), Subash Chander (Teacher) in ZEO Office Nagsini, Dalip Kumar (ReT), Manzoor Ahmed (Teacher), Ghulam Ali (Teacher) in ZEO Office Inderwal, Anoop Kumar (Master), Rakesh Kumar (3rd Teacher ReT) in ZEO Office Padder, Mushtaq Ahmed, Abdul Wahid, Attaullah Sheikh, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, Ghulam Nabi, Mukhtyar Ahmed all teachers attached in ZEO Office Marwah, Ghulam Mohammad Khandey (Teacher), Abdul Rehman (Teacher) and Mushtaq Ahmed (Master) attached in ZEO Office Warwan.
Meanwhile, sources within the Education Department Kishtwar informed Early times that in addition to 31 employees of Education department mentioned by the DC Kishtwar in his two letters written to the CEO, over 100 teachers, masters and ReTs are attached in various city schools on verbal and written orders. They said the Education department in violation of the rules and regulations, issues these order under pressure from various quarters including politicians.
Sources said that majority among them belong to influential families and have been attached in those schools where the student strength is far less as compared to the number of students. Besides, the city schools were also overburdened with staff. Sources said that due to attachment of Masters/Teachers/ReTs, students studying in rural areas where there were no private schools suffered badly and added that many schools remain closed most of the time due to shortage of staff and prevailing absenteism culture in Education Department. Several people have hailed the decision of DC Kishtwar ordering detachment of eight teachers/masters working in various education offices.
It is pertinent to mention here that DC Kishtwar in one of his two letters has strictly directed the CEO to comply the order and treat it as a last warning, otherwise he would be relieved from his present charge and other officer will be assigned the charge of CEO Kishtwar for smooth functioning of the schools.
