DEERS organizes awareness programme

Jammu, Dec 15: The Department of Ecology Environment and Remote Sensing, organized Symposium and Painting competition for the School Children of Govt. Higher Sec School Tikrii Distt. Udhmapur.
According to press release, the programme was held under the supervision of Neha Mehta, Environmental Soil Conservationist to create awareness among the students. Ranjeet Singh KAS, Collector Northern Railway was the Chief guest and Om Prakash Principal Govt. Hr. Sec.Sechool Tikri College was the Guest of honour.
Chief Guest advised the students to plant more and more trees in their respective areas, so as to increase green cover and to reduce the hazardous impacts of climate change.
Sheetal Kumari(12th) Sahil Sharma (10th) Sourabh Sharma(10th) were declared 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively, where as the consolation prizes won by Poonam Rani (12th). In painting Nishali Magotra (12th), Jyoti Sharma (12th) Pinky Rani (9th) were declared 1st 2nd and 3rd respectively, where as the consolation prize was won by Anjali Rajput (12th ).
