Jammu, Dec 15: Shanti Path Trust, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu (SPT) in collaboration with Department of Ophthalmology, Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu and Sri Hari Prabhu Sanstha ,Gujroo Nagrota (HPS) organized a free eye camp at Hari Prabhu Ashray, Gujroo Nagrota on the other day. According host organization, the eye camp was organized under the initiative of SPT for prevention of blindness and to provide gift of sight to the poor/needy people suffering from cataract blindness. "The team of eye specialists and para medical staff(PMS) from GMC &H Jammu namely Dr Shagufta Rather, Dr Bharti Sarngal, Dr Pallavi Sharma, Dr Chunauti Pandita, Dr Anjli Manhas, Dr Abhishek Padha and Dr Ridham Nanda accompanied with paramedical staff Sanjeev Kohli, Anil Kumar and Mukesh rendered their missionary services for the welfare of people who visited this camp held on December 13. "During camp a total of two hundred and fifty six (256) patients were examined out of which forty patients were screened for implantation of IOL and the cataract surgery shall be conducted at GMC&H on December 18 by Dr Dinesh Gupta, Proffessor and HOD, Deptt Of Ophthalmology and his team, statement said adding, "all patients were provided free medicines/eye drops during the camp." It also mentioned that SPT facilitates assistance to patients at GMC&H and provides injections/lenses/oral medicines/eye drops/ointment/dark glasses etc for eye operations and subsequent post operation follow up. |
