Congress likely to get all four seats from Leh, BJP may fail to open its account: Prof Soz

Jammu, Dec 15: Former Union Minister & President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Prof Saifuddin Soz while addressing largely attended gatherings, today said Congress is likely to claim all the four seats from Leh Ladakh and Congress will also perform well in valley however BJP would not be able to get a single seat.
Prof Soz emphasized that Congress would emerge as a strong secular force in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly 2015 and party would have the opportunity to be a determining factor to shape a coalition in the state.
Former Union Minister & President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Prof Saifuddin Soz, accompanied with Bhupinder Singh Hooda-Former Chief Minister Haryan and Nirmal Singh-Former Minister Haryana addressed Congress rallies at Bantalab (Nagrota Constituency); Sai (Suchetgarh Constituency), Gandhi Nagar Constituency and Panjtirithi (Jammu-East Constituency) was addressing series of public meetings here today. Addressing the largely attended gatherings, Prof Soz amid sloganeering said, "On the best of his personal knowledge, I could say that Congress had performed very well in Ladakh and all the four seats are expected to come to Congress. "The party Kashmir too has performed well while not a single seat would go in kitty of BJP from Ladakh and Kashmir. Prof Soz emphasized the fact that Congress would emerge as a strong secular force in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly 2015 and Congress party would have the opportunity to be a determining factor to shape a secular coalition in the state. Seeking vote for the party, he appealed people to vote and support Congress so that roots of secularism and economic stability are strengthened besides nefarious designs of BJP on scraping Article 370 are thwarted, so that forces inimical to peace and tranquility are kept at bay in the interest of nation. "BJP used to demand the abrogation of Article 370 but during the present elections for the sake of vote politics, they have put this issue on the back burner, he said while taking a dig upon BJP. Prof Soz described the statement of Arun Jaitly on Article 370 as misleading and election oriented. "Since, the elections in the Kashmir valley are over now and the BJP has once again started rhetoric on the Abrogation of Article 370, he said and added, "doing so the BJP is trying to mislead the people Jammu region." Former Chief Minister Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while addressing the gathering hit-out at BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying they were misleading people even through their promises of, "Achey Din" are yet to come true. "The BJP had sought votes in the Lok Sabha elections promising good days "Achey Din….". But after six months the BJP government at the centre stands exposed on all the major aspects of governance including the price rise, he added. Hooda added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is still misleading the people by false oratory.
Former chief minister Haryana said that Congress ideology is to unite the people irrespective of caste, creed and religion. "Congress is committed to development of Jammu & Kashmir and wanted to preserve the rich social, traditional and cultural heritage of the peace-loving people in its unique form, he added and appealed people to strengthen the secular base of Congress.
Among prominent also attended these meeting included Thakur Shiv Dev Singh-Congress Candidate-Nagrota; R S Chib-Congress Candidate-Suchegarh; Raman Bhalla-Congress Candidate-Gandhinagar; Vikram Malhotra-Congress Candidate-Jammu-East; Thakur Manmohan Singh-General Secretary PCC, Ashish Dua-Observer AICC, Smt. Indu Pawar (MLA) President Mahila Congress, Shiv Kumar Sharma-President INTUC, Neeraj Gupta-Secretary PCC, Amit Chib and Ram Rattan Sharma.
