Guv visits Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 15: Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, N N Vohra today visited Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum set up by Prof Ashutosh Sharma who has dedicated it to former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi for his vision and spirit behind the successful conduct of IX ASIAN Games in 1982 at Delhi. While visiting Rajiv Gandhi Mini Sports Museum at Karan Nagar Jammu today, Governor N N Vohra lauded the role of Prof Ashutosh Sharma in promoting sports and creating a memorabilia for the budding sportspersons of state. During his visit, Mr Vohra wished these valuable exhibites at much larger and suitable space to be fully accessible to the sports lovers, general masses and younger generation to serve an incentive for them. Earlier, Professor Ashutosh, while briefing the the Governor about his collection told him that it was his 60 years long voyage in the field of Sports at State at National and International levels which is depicted in the form of sports collection of mementos, photographs and Olympic memorabilia. Commissioner JMC Kiran Wattal and other distinguished sports personalities were also present on this occasion. |
